According to the implications of your post, when we know that USA will have 100 less jobs in the next generation (Guild Wars2 Gold), USA should encourage more baby-making and increase the quotas on immigration. If 500 additional USAians are born and 500 more immigrants are allowed into USA, we will have 1,000 people vying for the 100 jobs which no longer exist. Bril!

Let's imitate India, not China. No laws regulating baby-making; and since we are less pregnant than India, let's throw open the borders to migrants.

We cannot allow them to starve, so we give them public welfare, and that attracts still more baby-making and migrants.

Nothing happens until somebody sells something (Guild Wars2 Gold). If you really take the time to learn about the light bulb you will see original ideas abundant, being selected by a few enterprising people, then seen as a possible profit by Edison who spent a lot of time developing the whole lighting system... not just the light bulb... but generating electricity, delivering measured (billable) amounts to customers, turning on and off room lights... a whole system. It took ideas, salesmanship, investments, genius, market etc for us to enjoy that luxury.
