Great post, but avacados

That was a great post and good thinking (Guild Wars2 Gold). I like what you said about snacking on nuts. I'd suggest spending a little time researching which are the healthiest and which need to be consumed in smaller quantities.

Also, I suggest taking care with the avacados. They have a lot of fat in them. The father of a friend of mine had a major heart attack last year due to excessive avacado intake. He loved them and would eat 3 or 4 every day, and had been doing that for "a long time" (I don't know exactly how long). After surgery he was discussing it with his doctor and reviewing his nutrition with them. They limited him to an avacado per week, if I recall correctly, though that limit may have been due to the having had valves replaced.

I'm not saying avacados are the devil, they're not and I enjoy them myself, just that moderation is key. You can overdo it with them.

Having to stuff yourself is adding nuts (1 once is a portion (Guild Wars2 Gold), and most nuts have about 180 calories per once. Pistachios have 161 calories per once) -- nuts have a decent about of protein as well.

In addition, you could ad some avacado -- 1/2 a small avacado (Hass avacado, the larger avacados are Califronia Avacados) have about 120 calories and a good portion of vitiman E as well as other nutrients.)

If you eat one once of nuts sometime in the morning, and one once sometime in the afternoon/evening, you will have added an average of 360 calories to you day's calorie intake with a not-neligiable amount of protein and GOOD fats. Ad 1/2 an avacado to your salad and that's about 480 calories TOTAL (nuts and avacadon together) and no junk food added just for the calories and no dairy and no gluten.

You are confused and have a nasty mouth

Whey is whey - when the water is removed - it is quite pure protein and nothing more.

The further processing of isolate removes a little fat - but it is not worth the expense (Guild Wars2 Gold).

The better bio-availability of whey isolate is nonsense propagated upon the un-informed public for profit. ingesting either form - they are the same by the time they reach the small intestine because the enzymes of the mouth and stomach will breakdown whey so that it is the same isolate by the time it reaches the small intestine.

People who are lactose intolerant are simply not in a good supply of the enzyme lactace which breaks down the complex sugar lactose. a small trace amount of lactose is not going to cause digestive problems as you claim.

If someone is informed that whey is lactose free or any minuscule trace amount is not enough to be the cause of or the perceived cause of any discomfort - that is correct and useful information - that can be used as they see fit.

You are simply pulling stupid comments and information out of your ass (Guild Wars2 Gold) - and flinging it upon the public. Stop talking stupid - and clean up your nasty mouth.

The compounding movement feels wrong

I want to take the compounding stress off my back though (Guild Wars2 Gold). I want to change the angle of my back movement where I force more of the weight bearing on my hips than feet. I can dead lift things all day long like anybody else, but I yearn for the angled exercise that I can normally do on a roman chair or picnic table.

I think that the pipe system for the pull up bar works great in the door way. I wonder if something lightweight like that could be designed to be placed on the floor, using the doorway to support doing a lower back exercise or sit up? Doorways are supposed to handle 400 pounds.

I need something to stabilize my feet when I bend over.

I'm looking for a decent way to work my lower back better, preferably in home (Guild Wars2 Gold). I like using the picnic table, but the weather is getting a little chilly right now

I have limited space, in fact, virtually no space, since i live out of my car. I do have good access to a doorway to set up a pull-up bar. Is there anything out there that can work the lower back supported by a door way. It seems like something should be possible, right?

I'm trying to motivate myself to exercise more in my apt (where it can be chilly in the Winter since i keep the heat low). I would be more motivated if I had some 'cozy'...maybe fleece type outfits for the winter...i'm thinking sort of like a fitted sweater top...but that's not too tight that I can't move around...but that's tight enough that I can see my form/shape. Ditto for the pants. They could be full length pants or mid thigh...but the fabric has to be warm...not like a cold nylon or anything.

Can any women reco a brand that might work for this (Guild Wars2 Gold)? Yoga or pilates type stuff is also fine...it's mainly the fabric I want to be soft/warm and the fit to be form-fitting but still allow for full range of motion.

Desperate for energy

I am not getting sleep at all and that is soley due to the fact that i have 3 children and they are 4, 2, and 1. No matter which one happens to be keeping me up at night isnt really the issue but its the fact that i am still having to get through the day with the other children. doctor appts, grocery store, errands for business and anything else that may come up as a necessity. plus the fact that i am always trying to do something like the park in there somewhere so my babies can have some fun too. I am struggling with no energy and desperately needing it. When i was younger i took thermogene with ephedra when i worked out and of course lovedit. it is illegal now because of people abusing it. i need something other than what gnc has to offer as i have tried it all. Plus tons of coffee. I am here out of desperation and hope that someone else knows something i dont. all my levels and such are fine.

Please help. I want to have a fraction of the enegy my kiddos do!!!!

I don't bother with barbell lunges though. I'm not saying they're bad, I know lunges are actually a pretty decent exercise. I just don't need them in my routine. Since you're lifting in your garage I can see the use for them.

Calf raises in the squat rack, might require some building (Guild Wars2 Gold). Perhaps something like a 2x4 on a broad platform with a rubberized base so it doesn't wiggle/slip/move, and rack pull a barbell then step onto the little raised lip you constructed and do calf raises. You can just put it in when you're using it, and set it aside when you're not. Worst case scenario, where you slip or drop the weight, you're still in your power rack so it won't fall and hurt you or damage anything. Sound feasible?

As the mother of a child

Who lands in the autism spectrum (He doesn't have autism, but basically they don't know where else to categorize is pretty much) -- that's pretty darn insulting the way you said that. Picky eating, as a lone symptom, is NOT a sign of autism, in any form. I know far more many people who are picky eaters than autistic (Guild Wars2 Gold).

I think autism is growing far too much as a diagnosis in this country anyway. The umbrella of the diagnosis has grown way too much... very much like people WANT something to be wrong with their children, so they have an excuse to cover up their poor parenting (obviously, there are children and people with legitimate problems, but we suddenly had an EXPLOSION of people, but young and old, suddenly 'autistic' or having ADHD -- loners became autistic instead of introverts, hyper children suddenly have ADHD so their parents can bear no responsibility for disciplining them etc).

Let me elaborate a bit. As a person tends to speak bluntly (Guild Wars2 Gold), and continues to get in trouble for it, I am sensitive to the issue.

Things like weight and children are very sensitive issues for people. I'm (continuing) learning to take a softer, gentler approach. Don't always stop to think before reply though.

Here on dieting, we can say what has worked for us. We can make suggestions, ask if they have tried certain things, but we shouldn't tell people what to do. It's a very individual journey. We all gained weight for various reasons, and in various ways. We will all lose it in our own ways.

No matter what the journey, no one can say it's easy.

GM'd bananas are approaching extirpation.

Yes. We'll have no bananas!!! - Thanks to Selective Breeding (Guild Wars2 Gold), our Favourite Fruit can Neither Reproduce nor Defend Itself from Disease

The banana is about to disappear from store shelves around the globe. Experts say the world's favourite fruit will pass into oblivion within a decade. No more fresh bananas. No more banana bread. No more banana muffins or banana cream pie.

Why? Because the banana is the victim of centuries of genetic tampering. Scientists say they will be unable to prevent the extirpation of the banana as an edible commercial crop. And its demise may be one more powerful argument in the hands of those who are concerned about genetic modification of foods.

The banana's main problem is that it has become sterile and seedless as a result of 10,000 years of selective breeding (Guild Wars2 Gold). It has, over time, become a plant with unvarying genetic sameness. The genetic diversity needed to cope with environmental stresses, such as diseases and crop pests, has long ago been bred out of the banana. Consequently, the banana plantations of the world are completely vulnerable to devastating environmental pressures.

According to Emile Frison, newly appointed director-general of the Rome-based International Plant Genetic Resources Institute, science is helpless to prevent the demise of the banana. Already, he says, as much as 50 per cent of the world's banana harvest is lost to insects and disease.

Some considerations

I appreciate what you are saying, and I'm sure it might be nice for a Mum to have the kids back (Guild Wars2 Gold)... for whatever reason.

However, I prefer not to be seen as somebody who somehow could not operate on their own (I did fairly well for 25 years, if I may so myself).

Also, what will my siblings think? They might think I'm taking advantage of Mum. As a matter of fact, I suggested to her to gradually reduce some of her stuff. There are hundreds of books, mostly of my late Dad's. They should be either given to somebody who enjoys them, or at least recycled. There is no way Mum will even touch a fraction of them.

Of course, quite a few of her belongings have sentimental value, but all the "Reader's digest's" and old novels from the 50's one can easily get from the library?

But again: I do not want my siblings to think I want to dictate Mum how to lead her life. At the same time (Guild Wars2 Gold): I am here now, and willing to help her make life a bit easier. One day she won't be here anymore, and all her stuff would have to be divided in a few weeks. Better to do it now, while she can have a say over what to do with all the stuff.

Oh: and since we live on a 3rd. floor apartment, and the kids above keep trampling around (hello: where are the parents?) makes me wonder whether I could stay here for too long. The liveless garden is another deterrent, as I wish to grow veggies again, have a cat, etc...

Again: too many things to consider, which is why I won't make a decision on anything right now...

Just found this article...it may help you.

Is it time to end the relationship? Seems like the first four apply to you and your BF (Guild Wars2 Gold).

One: Have you started to feel emotionally disconnected from your partner? Two: Are you arguing more than you are getting along? Three: Has the amount of sex you have changed? Four: Has he started doing things that you don't like or get annoyed by? Five: Has he deceived you and you feel you could never trust him again?

'Everyone can feel a bit dissatisfied from time to time and you should talk to resolve these issues,' says Rachel.

'But if time and again you feel frustrated that he isn't listening to you, then it is likely your relationship is in more serious trouble.

'Things are not right if you have been trying to improve yourself and the relationship over a prolonged period of time and nothing is making a difference.'

Another key thing to assess is you and your partner's values and future ambitions (Guild Wars2 Gold). Do you want children? Does he? Do you have the same attitudes towards family, your careers, money and sex?

'These questions may sound unromantic, but if you don't see eye to eye on practical life points, then the relationship is unlikely to work long-term,' says Rachel.

it's called love the man i am speaking of was my best friend for nearly two decades before we became lovers. We do have different lifestyles, but we also have a lot in common, diet and exercise are just not among those things. : ) He harassed me to quit smoking because i was having breathing issues.

Please try to keep in mind that i am describing one very specific situation in which he has been disrespectful to my wishes and ways of life, and he has been supportive of me in many other ways, that really have nothing to do with this situation.

I am not looking for relationship advice, or attempting to voice general unhappiness (Guild Wars2 Gold). I am concerned about this one situation and simply looking for some advice about it because i have tried a few approaches and it seems like nothing is getting through, but i am worried enough and care enough to want to keep trying.

He didn't make a mess of his campaign.

He performed less than I would have hoped in the first debate (Guild Wars2 Gold). It was a little dissapointing, but Not horrendous. I have every confidence he can bounce back from this lackluster performance.

What does annoy me is the focus on things like Big Bird. Oh, come on. Romney was illuminating a point and using Big Bird to emphasis a point, end of story. The amount of time and energy of both the Obama campaign and the media is putting into degrading Romney for using Big bird to demonstrate his point is unsettling.

'm an Obama supporter and I feel this way.

I want to hear the *Content* of the candidates theories and perspectives. I was looking forward to this first debate but was disspointed in it when all was said and done.

I'm sick to death, and have been virtually from he get-go (Guild Wars2 Gold), of the stupid campaiging tricks and negativity from both sides and was anticipating the real deal in the first debate, sans trickery. Again, I was dissapointed.

Give me the facts just the facts.

Do you have health insurance?

Are you willing to tell your husband?

Are you willing to tell me what area you are in (Guild Wars2 Gold)?

My body got to the point to where it could not keep anything down at all, even liquids. And if there was nothing in my stomach, I would dry heave. I was ending up in the hospital almost weekly with electrolyte imbalances and other complications. I would get so much scar tissue in my throat that i couldn't swallow so they would have to go in and tear it. My tooth enamel is worn thin and my teeth chip easily and i had to tell my dentist the truth(so embarrassing because he is my uncle)

i have been in a partial hospitalization program twice and there was a program there that covered the expense. then i went to inpatient rehab for my eating disorder and alcoholism that my insurance covered. the PHP and inpatient both took different approaches. I am sober from alcohol (Guild Wars2 Gold), but still struggle with my ED.

I started seeing a new psychiatrist and he prescribed me medications to help with bulimia and my symptom use has decreased dramatically. the meds seem to be working

I have a primary health insurance and a secondary and most of my prescriptions are free, the most expensive copay is ten dollars. My office visits have no copay.

OA - Roseanne's Prayer - NOT my thing

The OA Promise (also known as Rosanne's Prayer):

I put my hand in yours, and together we can do what we could never do alone (Guild Wars2 Gold). No longer is there a sense of hopelessness, no longer must we each depend upon our own unsteady willpower. We are all together now, reaching out our hands for power and strength greater than ours, and as we join hands, we find love and understanding beyond our wildest dreams.

I've been attending OA on and off for awhile. In more meetings than not, at the end everyone stands up, joins hands, and says the above words - frequently followed with "Keep coming back. It works if ya work it. And yer worth it."

I cringe whenever we come to the Roseanne's Prayer part - honestly, seriously, when YOU join hands, do YOU 'find love and understanding beyond your wildest dreams'? I understand the term 'fake it til ya make it' but the prayer just seems incredibly trite to me. Not authentic at all. I go to meetings for the honesty, in my sharing and that of others (Guild Wars2 Gold). Shall I speak up and say what I think/feel about it? Honestly, I'd like to just quietly leave before we get to that part, if others want to say it, fine - take what ya want and leave the rest, right?

I think it's only an Overeaters Anonymous thing, not used in other 12 step groups.

Anybody reading this in OA? I welcome your feedback.

Got some exercise today

After I got off work this afternoon, I got ready to head to school (Guild Wars2 Gold), which is in Dallas...I'm in Plano. Had to run by the apartment to grab my official schedule, noticed the car was running crazy hot, opened the hood and yay me...my radiator is cracked.

Well, luckily I only live a little over 2 miles from my work. I have to be there in the morning, so I took a walk this evening to time how long it's going to take me to get there. Crossing a major highway sucks when you're walking by the way. Then I had a coworker give me a ride to Academy to get a bike so I could try riding it to work once in a while, to get me there a bit faster. That was a great idea until I got home and aired up the tire....and the back tube was bad and it exploded on me. Looks like I'll still be walking.

It lso looks like I'll be taking a break this quarter from Culinary school unless I can get switched to some online courses....so no late night food classes. But maybe this is a good thing, because it's helping me get out and take a walk every day. A little over 2 miles there, stand on my feet all day (Guild Wars2 Gold), a little over 2 miles back. That won't be too bad of a start!

There's more to it than a switch

You're playing two arguments against each other (Guild Wars2 Gold), first suggesting the concepts are too difficult for AZ Dude to optimize his system on his own, then you're suggesting it's as simple as flipping a switch.

I'm trying to educate myself, but since you claim to know where specifically to find the information, I was seriously hoping you could provide me with a link.

I'm not arguing. I'm asking. You're not providing the information asked for, just alluding to its existence, which is why I keep posting followups.

Most helpful would be a spec sheet or similar document for an individual inverter model that confirms it can maintain voltage and frequency properly without the grid to absorb excess power and provide a frequency reference. The voltage from a solar panel varies depending on the power draw, and that could potentially cause problems (Guild Wars2 Gold).
